Job summary

Signature HealthCARE South Pittsburg Rehab & Wellness Center seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed nursing supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment in line with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a nursing team and under licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using assisting devices and proper body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Turn and position residents regularly and support resident rights and choices.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas and respond to call lights promptly.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff when requested.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference
