Job summary

Pennswood Village, a senior living community in Newtown, PA, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the full-time overnight shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).

As part of the Personal Care team you will assist residents with daily activities, administer medications, and collaborate with a caring nursing team to deliver exceptional resident care.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania CNA certification.
• Medication Administration certification or ability to complete Pennswoods DHS-approved Medication Administration Training Program within 30 days.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Administer medications safely and accurately per physician orders and established policies.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Support individualized care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Document resident care and medication administration and communicate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Follow established nursing policies and procedures while providing high-quality, person-centered care.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Medication Administration certification, or the ability to successfully complete Pennswoods DHS-approved Medication Administration Training Program within the first 30 days of employment (training provided by Pennswood Village.)
