Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Living in Plymouth, MI seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our community and support residents daily. The CNA will respond to signal lights, assist with activities of daily living, and participate in medical tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, feeding assistance, mobility support, vitals measurement, and maintaining clean, safe living spaces.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in Michigan is required.
• One year certificate from college/technical school, or equivalent.
• Experience assisting residents with activities of daily living is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents’ needs.
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents.
• Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help.
• Transports residents or assists residents to walk.
• Drapes residents for examinations and treatments and may hold instruments.
• Turns and repositions residents to prevent bedsores.
• Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, answers phones.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Assists with laundry and housekeeping duties.
• Dusts and cleans residents’ rooms.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents’ needs.
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents.
• Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help.
• Transports residents or assists residents to walk.
• Drapes residents for examinations and treatments and remains with residents to perform such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights.
• Turns and repositions residents, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores.
• Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Assists with laundry and housekeeping duties.
• Dusts and cleans residents’ rooms.

Education/Experience

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification in Michigan required.
