Job summary

Select Specialty Orlando Central is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our inpatient care team. You will assist with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding and mobility, while collaborating with nurses to ensure safety and comfort on a 7a-7p schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a CNA, are committed to high-quality care, and can obtain BLS within 90 days. This role supports hospital-based post-ICU recovery and offers comprehensive benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral care and basic hygiene.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment.
• Restock supplies and support unit operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by nursing staff.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
