Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Clear Lake is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform patient care activities and accommodative services under supervision. No medications or independent patient care decisions are performed.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification as required by state, and current BLS certification. Experience is optional, with a preference for 2–3 years in acute care or rehab settings.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification as required by state.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
• Adheres to PAM Health policies, procedures and guidelines.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
