We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT Evenings for one of our clients in Penn Yan, NY.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice as defined by the certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for patients, including understanding growth and development, assessing patient data, and providing care suitable for adult and geriatric patients.

  • Meet residents' ADL needs as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, toileting, turning/positioning, skin care, etc.
  • Complete documentation per protocol.
  • Maintain the resident's environment and safety, including answering call lights, using safety equipment, preventing falls, and monitoring equipment.
  • Meet residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery, tray preparation, feeding, and respecting preferences.
  • Address rehabilitative needs such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper positioning, with documentation.
  • Report residents' rights, refusals, concerns, and changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial status promptly to the charge or supervising nurse.
  • Handle occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
Qualifications
  • NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of LTC experience.
  • Must hold a valid license for at least 1 year.
Work Hours
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, evenings, 5x8 shifts.
  • EOW and holiday work required.
