Job description

We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT Evenings/Weekends for one of our clients in Penn Yan, NY.

Job Description:
  1. Meet residents' ADL needs as outlined in the plan of care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, toileting, turning/positioning, and skin care.
  2. Complete documentation as per protocol.
  3. Maintain the resident's environment and safety, including answering call lights promptly, using safety mats and low beds, managing restraints under nurse supervision, ensuring cleanliness, preventing falls, monitoring equipment, etc.
  4. Meet residents' nutritional needs as per the care plan, including meal delivery, tray preparation, feeding, and respecting resident preferences.
  5. Document all care activities following protocol.
  6. Address residents' rehabilitative needs, such as ROM exercises, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment, with documentation.
  7. Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to Charge or Supervising Nurse promptly.
  8. Identify and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status.
  9. Handle occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
Qualifications:
  • NY State Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS (AHA or RQI).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of LTC experience and licensure for at least one year.
Work Hours:
  • 37.5 hours/week, evenings, 5 days/week, every weekend scheduled, including holidays.
  • Client aims to schedule two consecutive days off each week.
Notes:
  • Contract leading to permanent employment.
