Per Diem Requirements: 3 shifts per 8-week scheduling period

Night Shift: 7pm - 7am

Availability to work Hours: 3:00pm - 11:00pm or 11:00pm - 7:00am

CNA Companion Role

  • Float between units, provide 1 to 1 care to patients.
  • This CNA Companion role offers an opportunity to spend more dedicated time and build rapport with patients.
  • Ability to float between Medical-Surgical Units with focus on Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses, as well as our Special Care unit; providing great exposure to specialties while expanding your experience and skills.
  • 12-hour shifts
Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant Companion role functions under supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs various service duties to provide patient care, supervision, companionship, and support to the patient. Helps to maintain the patient room in a clean and orderly condition.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and on the State of Maine Registry; completion of a six-week or equivalent course is required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: None required.
