Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Medical team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, IL. The role involves direct patient care for incarcerated individuals and assisting with daily living activities on the evening shift (2 p.m.–10 p.m.).

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CNA certification, and CPR/BLS certification; correctional or healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification required; CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check).
• Experience in acute, long-term care, emergency, or correctional settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision.

We offer an evening differential of $4/hour and a night differential of $3/hour.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Medical team at Shawnee Correctional Center located in Vienna, Illinois.

CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required
• CNA licensure in Maryland required
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift

Full-Time Evening Shift, 2 p.m. - 10 p.m., Monday - Friday (Saturdays and Sundays off)
