Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Medical team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. CNAs provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under nursing and psychiatric supervision, assisting with hygiene, daily activities, and vital signs.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certification, meets CPR/BLS requirements, and can obtain security clearance. Evening shift 2 p.m.–10 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• CNA licensure in Maryland required.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Maintain safety and security standards while delivering care.
