Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Certified Nurse Assistant/Sitter to provide personal care and maintain patient comfort in a busy acute care setting. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and may be floated to different units as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, MA CNA license or EMT license, or enrollment in a nursing program with clinical hours, plus AHA BLS certification on hire; 1–2 years CNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in HS or co-op program.
• Current MA CNA license, EMT license, or enrollment in nursing program with clinical hours.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to pace in a busy acute care unit.
• AHA BLS certification required upon hire.
• 1–2 years CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to maintain physical comfort.

• Perform sitter duties as needed.
• May be floated to different units according to patient needs.

Job Description: MAIN FUNCTION:

Responsible for personal care to provide and maintain physical comfort. Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff. Will also include "Sitter" duties.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

High School graduate or equivalency or enrolled in a co-op program with successful completion of HS diploma within 6months. Current MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or current enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation required. Excellent organizational skills and work pace consistent with working in a busy, acute care unit. Active American Heart Association BLS certification REQUIRED upon hire. 1-2 years Cert. Nursing Assistant experience preferred. As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.

Pay Range:

$18.81 - $33.00 This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
