Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for 2 East in Plymouth, MA. The role focuses on personal care and comfort, with supervision by RNs and occasional sitter duties on a busy, acute care unit.

Shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The job emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and meeting patient needs in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or enrolled in a co-op program with completion within 6 months.
• Current MA CNA license or EMT license or nursing program enrollment with sufficient clinical hours.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to pace in a busy acute care unit.
• Active AHA BLS certification required upon hire.
• 1-2 years CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients and maintain physical comfort.
• Work under supervision and delegation of registered nurses.
• Fulfill sitter duties as assigned and float to other areas as needed.

Job Description:

UNIT DESCRIPTION** :** 2 East is a 49bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit that provides care to adult and geriatric patients. The staff cares for patients with a wide variety of acute conditions and patients with multiple comorbidities.

MAIN FUNCTION : Responsible for personal care to provide and maintain physical comfort. Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff. Will also include "Sitter" duties.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

• High School graduate or equivalency or enrolled in a co-op program with successful completion of HS diploma within 6months.
• Current MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or current enrollmentin a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation required.
• Excellent organizational skills and work pace consistent with working in a busy, acute care unit.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certificationREQUIRED upon hire.
• 1-2 years Cert. Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.

Pay Range:

$18.81 - $33.00

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
