Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. seeks a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and maintain patient comfort. Duties include sitter tasks and working under the supervision of registered nursing staff.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent (or current enrollment in a nursing program), MA CNA license or EMT license, or clinical hours; active AHA BLS is required; 1–2 years CNA experience is preferred. Staff may be floated as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent completed within 6 months.
• Current MA CNA license, EMT license, or enrollment in nursing program with clinical hours.
• Excellent organizational skills in a busy acute care unit.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required on hire.
• 1–2 years CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to maintain physical comfort.
• Work under the supervision of registered nursing staff.
• Perform sitter duties as needed.
• Staff may be floated to other areas per operational needs.

Job Description:

MAIN FUNCTION:

• Responsible for personal care to provide and maintain physical comfort.
• Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff.
• Will also include "Sitter" duties.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduate or equivalency or enrolled in a co-op program with successful completion of HS diploma within 6months.
• Current MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or current enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation required.
• Excellent organizational skills and work pace consistent with working in a busy, acute care unit.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification REQUIRED upon hire.
• 1-2 years Cert. Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.

Pay Range:

$18.81 - $33.00 This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
