Job summary

Friends of Kansas Christian Home Inc is seeking a Part-Time Weekend CNA for 2nd shift to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their comfort, dignity and well-being.

You will work with a supportive nursing team to follow individualized care plans, document care, and assist with activities of daily living in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document all care provided in flow sheets, notes, charts, and related records in a clear and descriptive manner.
• Promptly report any changes in a resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
• Greet residents warmly and assist with escorting them to their rooms as needed.
• Participate in shift report and receive updates upon reporting for duty.
• Follow all facility policies regarding infection control and exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including: Oral hygiene; Bathing; Dressing and grooming; Hair care; Nail care (excluding diabetic residents).
• Provide comfort measures such as backrubs as directed.
• Make and change beds, ensuring linens are clean, tight, and free of wrinkles.
• Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, appointments, and therapies.
• Support residents in attending activities and social programs (e.g., church services, events, visitors).
• Safely transport residents to and from appointments, activities, and within the facility as needed.
• Assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment.
• Support residents with walking, with or without assistive devices, as instructed.
