Job summary

Horizon House, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Residential Group Home team at Bennett House in Wilmington, Delaware. The role is part-time, 16 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts including weekends, on-site at the Wilmington location.

The orientation and mileage reimbursement for attendance are provided. The CNA will provide direct care, promote a safe and recovery-oriented environment, and support participants toward independence in daily living and community

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and current Delaware CNA certification.
• Ability to respond to disruptive behavior.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Knowledge and ability to provide hands on assistance with activities of daily living.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• To ensure a safe, healthy, secure and recovery-oriented environment, which promotes growth and development.

Horizon House is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania’s oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) to join our Residential Group Home team on Bennett House in Wilmington, Delaware, 19806.

Work Schedule: Total 16 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and weekends

We are pleased to confirm we can accommodate your new hire notice, allowing you to attend the first four-day, Monday-Thursday orientation schedule, day shift at our Philadelphia location. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for your attendance at new hire orientation.

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, bend, kneel, stack, stoop, which includes direct intervention with participants.
