Job summary

Whittier Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Subacute experience to join our team. The role requires an active CNA certification, at least 1 year in Sub-Acute settings, a high school diploma or equivalent, and full COVID-19 vaccination (including boosters).

Fluency in English and good physical health to assist residents is essential. Responsibilities include providing personal care under a nurse's supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, answering call

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings.
• Organizational skills required to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Scale: $23

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
