Job Overview

The Luxor at Sayville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a CNA to join their growing team, bringing a fresh approach to skilled nursing. Come in for an interview with our Administrator and DON!

Compensation

Up to $25.00 an hour

Responsibilities

1. Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) daily and as needed.
2. Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
3. Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
4. Record vital signs, weights, measurements, intake/output, food consumption, and other data.
5. Turn and position residents regularly.
6. Observe residents and report changes to the Charge Nurse.
7. Assist in collecting data for the MDS and care plan, providing input as needed.
8. Ensure residents are adequately hydrated according to their needs.
9. Prepare residents for meals and transport them to the dining area, assisting as needed.
10. Maintain accurate records of food intake and output.
11. Monitor environment for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise.
12. Take vital signs and perform other assessments as directed.
13. Respond promptly to call lights and assist residents with needs.
14. Assist in training and orientation of new staff, if requested.

Qualifications

• Current NY State CNA certification.
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Professionalism and confidentiality.
• Customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
