Job summary

La Crosse County’s Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with dignity and person-centered care. You will assist with hygiene, meals, and daily living activities while documenting care and following individualized plans.

Starting wage is $20.19/hour with shift and weekend differentials; positions include AM, PM, and Night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Wisconsin CNA certification and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to person-centered care and professionalism.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting and transfers.
• Valid driver's license for resident transport.
• Successful completion of Wisconsin Caregiver background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, daily living activities, and room care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and follow individual diet guidelines.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Take vital signs, weights, and provide basic skin care.
• Document care provided and follow individualized care plans.
• Promote resident independence, safety, and comfort.
• Participate in restorative care programs, ambulation, and transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and uphold residents’ rights.
• Attend required in-service trainings and maintain CNA certification.

Available Positions

• AM Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM), every other weekend & holiday rotation 64 hours per two‑week pay period (benefit‑eligible)
• PM Shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), every other weekend & holiday rotation 72 hours per two‑week pay period (benefit‑eligible)
• PM Shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), every other weekend & holiday rotation 0 - 39 hours per two‑week pay period
• Night Shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM), every other weekend & holiday rotation 64 - 72 hours per two‑week pay period (benefit‑eligible)
• Night Shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM), every other weekend & holiday rotation 0 - 39 hours per two‑week pay period

What We’re Looking For

• At least 18 years of age

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
• Commitment to person‑centered care, integrity, and professionalism
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting, walking, and use of mechanical lifts
• Valid driver’s license (for those transporting residents)
• Successful completion of Wisconsin Caregiver background check
