Job summary

Yorktown Manor is seeking a personable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and comfort in our Yorktown, IN nursing home. Pay starts at $16/hour and we have Full‑Time 2p‑10p shifts plus PRN options that require at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, and daily living activities, under the direction of the Charge Nurse, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required and must be current.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Documentation of CNA certification must be provided upon application.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming per Care Plan.
• Provide nursing care under direction of the Charge Nurse and supported by the interdisciplinary team.
• Support safety and well‑being of residents and maintain their comfort and dignity.
• Follow established Care Plans and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned to support resident care.

Shifts Available:

• Full-Time 2p-10p

• PRN- requires at least 1 weeeknd per month

CNA Job details/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.

• Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents are maintained.

• Acts appropriately under the direction of the Charge Nurse and acts as an active member of the inter-disciplinary team.

• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, in accordance with the established Care Plan.

• Ensures that all residents are out of bed according to the established Care Plan.

• Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, and clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive, and calm manner.

• Additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan.

CNA Qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited high school or GED is preferred.

• Must be 18 years and older

• Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; having successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination.

• Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
