Job summary

Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth, IN is seeking a personable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and comfort for our nursing home residents. You will assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, grooming, and daily activities under the Care Plan, ensuring safety and well-being as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold an active CNA certification, have completed a state-approved training program, and be able to document certification upon applying.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required; state-approved training and exam completed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and techniques to care for residents with therapeutic, neuro and dementia-related needs.
• Provides nursing care per Care Plans and ensures resident safety and well-being.
• Acts under the direction of the Charge Nurse as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming per Care Plan.
• Ensures residents are out of bed as scheduled by the Care Plan.
• Interacts with residents, families, and staff in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
• Performs additional duties to follow the Care Plan.

• FT/ PT/PRN All Shifts

CNA Job details/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents are maintained.
• Acts appropriately under the direction of the Charge Nurse and acts as an active member of the inter-disciplinary team.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, in accordance with the established Care Plan.
• Ensures that all residents are out of bed according to the established Care Plan.
• Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, and clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive, and calm manner.
• Additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan.

CNA Qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited high school or GED is preferred.
• Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; having successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination.
• Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
