Job summary

Greenwood Center in Warwick, RI is hiring compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a dedicated nursing team in a skilled nursing environment.

We offer competitive pay ($19.00–$22.00 per hour) based on experience, plus shift differentials. Full-time and part-time opportunities include medical/dental insurance and a 401(k) plan. CPR and RI CNA certification are required, with prior long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island CNA certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements including transfers and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and hydration.
• Monitor residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
• Keep resident rooms and care areas clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Follow infection control procedures and facility policies.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Promote residents' dignity, privacy, independence, and well-being.
• Work collaboratively with nurses to provide quality care.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.

• Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as needed.

• Assist with meal service, feeding, and hydration according to individual resident needs.

• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team.
