Job summary

Regency Pacific Management's Kauai Care Center in Waimea, Kaua'i Island, seeks a dedicated CNA to provide compassionate nursing care and support residents’ well‑being. You will follow individualized care plans and assist with daily living activities to promote recovery and quality of life.

This full-time position offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus, tuition reimbursement up to $3,000, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, PTO, life insurance, EAP, and 401-K.

Qualifications

• Must possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and provide information to care planning staff about residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to residents' grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and activity needs.
• Maintain skin integrity by turning, repositioning immobile residents and applying moisturizers.
• Protect residents' belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Take vital signs, weights, apply creams, collect specimens, and assist with transfers.
• Document care per department policies and follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate tactfully with residents, families, visitors, peers, and supervisors.

Our full range of Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Therapy treatments are designed to support recovery from illness, surgery, or a serious injury. As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
