Job summary

Caremed Inc. is seeking compassionate CNAs to deliver one-on-one home health care to seniors in Amelia, Buckingham, Cumberland, Nottoway, Powhatan and Prince Edward counties. You will follow personalized care plans, assist with ADLs, provide transfers, monitor vital signs, and offer companionship in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/license required.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and safety procedures.
• Pass required employment background screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide safe client transfers, mobility assistance, positioning, and ambulation support.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding and hydration as needed.
• Obtain and report vital signs per care plan.
• Provide medication reminders per care plan and policies.
• Follow individualized care plans and client instructions.
• Provide companionship, socialization and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to the Caremed team.
• Complete accurate electronic logs, visit documentation, care notes and service records.
• Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, privacy and safety.

CNA Responsibilities

CNA Requirements

• Current CNA certification/license required

• Experience preferred, but not required - all backgrounds are welcome to apply

• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

• Ability to follow individualized care plans and safety procedures

• Ability to pass required employment background screening
