Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Eugene, OR is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Veneta, OR and surrounding areas. This position emphasizes work-life balance with flexible scheduling so you can care for patients while fitting your life.

As a CNA, you will assist seniors at home with daily activities, monitor vitals, and report changes to the supervisor. The role offers 1:1 client ratios, training opportunities, and tuition discounts through Rasmussen University.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Oregon.
• CPR certification is required.
• Driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and individuals in their homes.
• Assist with daily activities: bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, and document changes.
• Notify supervisor of changes in care, meds, or equipment.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes


• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake


• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises


• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes


• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for Certified Nursing Assistants:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Oregon


• CPR certification


• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and transportation


• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
