Job summary
Visiting Angels Lufkin, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support seniors in Deep East Texas. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with mobility, meals, personal care, and basic housekeeping while promoting independence and dignity.

Qualifications
- Passion to serve others - a true caregiver.
- Knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Experience with Bathing assistance and incontinence care
- Experience with transferring seniors using a hoyer lift or gait belt
- Strong ethics
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's and Dementia
- 2 years professional experience with the elderly in a Facility or with an agency or have a CNA certification
Responsibilities
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients with routine exercises
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
