Job summary

Majestic Care discusses the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position in Toledo. The CNA will assist professional nursing personnel with direct hands-on care for ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents, helping them achieve the highest level of functioning and a normal lifestyle.

The role emphasizes ADL support, patient comfort, safety, infection control, and respectful treatment of residents, with involvement in admissions, transfers, discharges, hydration, nutrition, and routine vital signs.

Qualifications

• Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities).
• Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques.
• Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Re‑teach resident to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow‑up occurs.
• Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately.

Position Overview
