Job summary

Majestic Care is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a compassionate care team at Cedar Village. The role supports professional nursing staff by delivering hands‑on nursing care to residents, helping them achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

This position emphasizes ADL assistance, safety, infection control, and respectful resident interaction in a community setting, with a focus on hydration, nutrition, and smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to call lights to provide comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair within community areas.
• Report significant findings/observations to the nurse promptly.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to ensure smooth transitions.
• Safekeep residents' personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques.
• Respect residents' rights, including privacy and confidentiality.
• Re-teach residents to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores and complications.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensure follow‑up occurs.
• Converse with residents and families to aid adjustment to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition; report deviations to Charge Nurse.
• Perform vital signs and monitor intake/output and weights.

Position Overview:

The CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands‑on nursing care to ambulatory and non‑ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities).
• Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques
• Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Re‑teach resident to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow‑up occurs.
• Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately.

Qualifications:

• Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.
