Base pay range

About the position

The Certified Nursing Assistant delivers direct care to residents and patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards in a skilled nursing home. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities, personal hygiene, mobility, and monitoring their wellbeing to maintain dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Support daily tasks such as telephone use, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents.
• Assist in dining, including escorting residents, serving, and cleanup.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA certification course.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively for job duties.
• Ability to treat seniors with dignity and respect.
• Friendly and congenial communication skills.
• Complete new hire orientation.
