Job summary

Missouri Veterans Commission seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care at the Missouri Veterans Home. You will work with a dedicated nursing team, following individualized care plans and documenting observations for the veterans and their families.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, accurate vitals, and supporting daily activities. Competitive hourly wages apply, with opportunities for overtime and a supportive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Veteran care and support according to the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document information to nursing staff regarding Veterans’ needs, preferences and/or complaints voiced by Veteran/family.
• Attend to individual needs of Veterans including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, mobility, range of motion and skin care.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk, stand, and lift as needed to provide quality care to Veterans.
• Work overtime as needed.

Hourly Pay

• $18.35 - $18.69 day shift
• $20.35 - $20.69 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Provide excellent Veteran care and support according to the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document specific information to nursing staff regarding information and observations of the Veterans’ needs, preferences and/or complaints voiced by Veteran/family.
• Attend to individual needs of Veterans which may include but is not limited to assistance with grooming, bathing/showering, oral hygiene, delivery and set up of food trays, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, repositioning, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, skin care, or other needs in keeping with the individual’s care requirements.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk and stand extensively as well as stoop, bend, and lift to provide quality care to Veterans.
• Work overtime as needed.
