Job summary

Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our dedicated team of nursing professionals, delivering compassionate, in-class care to our state’s heroes. You will work under an individualized care plan and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality care.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, accurate documentation, and attention to resident comfort and safety, with opportunities for growth within MO Veterans Home.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide veteran care per individualized care plan.
• Document information and observations for nursing staff.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, feeding and hygiene.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights and weights.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning and ROM.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and attend to overtime needs.

Hourly Pay

• $18.35 - $18.69 day shift
• $20.35 - $20.69 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Provide excellent Veteran care and support according to the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document specific information to nursing staff regarding information and observations of the Veterans’ needs, preferences and/or complaints voiced by Veteran/family.
• Attend to individual needs of Veterans which may include but is not limited to assistance with grooming, bathing/showering, oral hygiene, delivery and set up of food trays, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, repositioning, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, skin care, or other needs in keeping with the individual’s care requirements.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk and stand extensively as well as stoop, bend, and lift to provide quality care to Veterans.
• Work overtime as needed.
