Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate in‑home care to seniors in the Central Illinois area. The role offers competitive pay and flexible hours including full‑time, part‑time, and PRN positions.

You will help with daily activities, mobility, and personal care, while ensuring safety and comfort. We offer a $400 sign‑on bonus, weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and ongoing training through a caregiver mentor program.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate genuine caregiving orientation and compassion.
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with medications as prescribed and routine care.
• Support ambulation, mobility, and transportation to appointments.
• Provide personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation as needed.
• Assist with shopping, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Be a supportive companion and monitor client well‑being.
• Report unusual incidents and respond to emergencies promptly.

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Requirements
