Position Overview:

The CNA is part of the community nursing team, responsible for assisting professional nursing staff by providing direct, hands-on care to residents. The goal is to help residents achieve the highest possible level of functioning and live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to call lights to ensure comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Transport residents within the community.
• Report significant findings to the nurse immediately.
• Assist with resident admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Safeguard residents’ personal possessions.
• Maintain neat and safe resident rooms.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Respect residents' privacy and confidentiality.
• Re-teach ADL skills as needed.
• Provide restorative care to prevent complications.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with residents and families to support adjustment.
• Ensure proper hydration and nutrition, reporting deviations.
• Accurately perform vital signs and other assessments.

Qualifications:
