About this position: The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care to residents and patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards in a skilled nursing home. CNAs assist residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and mobility, prioritizing their wellbeing and dignity.
- Caring for personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living including wardrobe, hygiene, and mobility.
- Help with daily tasks such as telephone use, laundry, transportation, and mail.
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
- Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents.
- Assist in dining, including escorting residents, serving, and cleanup.
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA certification course.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively for job duties.
- Ability to treat seniors with dignity and respect.
- Friendly and congenial communication skills.
- Completion of new hire orientation required.
