Job summary

Fairpark Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our close-knit team in Tennessee. You will care for residents, assist with daily activities, and help monitor health needs under nursing supervision.

Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state CNA certification.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record patient vital signs and assist with lifting and transporting residents.
• Report changes in resident conditions to nurse management promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers and supervisors.
• Assist the nurse with duties as directed.

CNA Responsibilities:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to the nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
