Job summary

Fairpark Health and Rehabilitation is hiring a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate daily care for residents in a close-knit community. You will assist with daily activities, monitor health needs, and communicate changes to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents’ individual needs, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record and monitor vital signs, assist with lifting and transporting residents.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers and supervisors.
• Assist nurses with various duties as directed.

CNA Responsibilities:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to the nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
