Job summary

Visiting Angels Carmel seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate in-home care for seniors in Hamilton County, including Fishers, Noblesville, Carmel, Westfield and Indianapolis. You will offer light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and transportation as a caring companion.

The role includes opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care to develop your skills and grow within a local team.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and compassion for seniors.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid is beneficial.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Good time management and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility inside and outside the home.
• Provide personal care and hygiene support.
• Assist with routine exercises and mobility.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide a pleasant and supportive companionship.
• Report any unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
