Visiting Angels Carmel, IN is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in Hamilton County, including Fishers, Noblesville, Carmel, and surrounding areas.

Caregivers provide light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility assistance, and transportation with opportunity for ongoing dementia/alzheimer’s care training. We offer a chance to make a real difference as a trusted companion to those in need.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background in home or elder care preferred and valued.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around home or appointments.
• Provide personal care and hygiene support.
• Assist with routine exercises and mobility activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Run errands or accompany clients shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and keep living areas tidy.
• Be a pleasant, supportive companion and report incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements
