Job summary

Newport Post Acute in Newport News, VA is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate care team. You will assist residents with daily living activities under supervision, maintain safety and dignity, and support nursing staff to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.

Qualifications include an active CNA license in Virginia and BLS/CPR certification. We offer shift options (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am), competitive hourly pay, and inclusive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active, and unencumbered CNA license in the state of employment.
• Valid BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to providing high-quality resident care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately and consistently.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff in a safe, compassionate, and respectful manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, and changing linens.
• Provide supportive care and services to ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and daily living needs are consistently met.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to nursing staff in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that promotes dignity and well‑being for all residents.
• Support nursing staff and the care team in delivering high‑quality, resident‑centered care.

Hourly Range: $19.00 – $22.00/hr (Based on Experience & Incentives) ALL INCLUSIVE

Shift Differentials ($1.50 For 3pm -11pm & $1.50 For 11pm - 7am)
