Job description

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), provide bedside care and basic nursing procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. Support nurses or physicians in operating medical equipment for patient care. Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms requiring medical attention. Offer physical and emotional support to patients. Maintain cleanliness in patient areas. Follow health system guidelines and HIPAA regulations to ensure accurate care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED/TASC required
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Attendant program
• Current NYS License
• Current BCLS/CPR preferred
• Ability to accurately record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
• Basic computer skills
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Schedule:

• Positions are in hospitals and nursing homes, open 24/7
• Shift options include days (7a-3p or 8a-4p), evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a), and nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
• Every other weekend work is usually required

Additional Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.

Most positions offer a comprehensive union benefits package and competitive salaries, ranging from $18.30 to $29.51 per hour.
