Summary
Under the supervision and/or direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs duties assisting in the care and treatment of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures. Must understand and adhere to GCMC’s Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest policies. Keep informed of relevant federal, state, and GCMC regulations, laws, and policies, including updates and modifications.

Job Description
Sign-on bonus up to $5,000.
Under the supervision of nursing staff, performs routine patient/resident care duties, including assisting with activities of daily living, measuring vital signs, collecting specimens, and participating in emergency and infection control procedures. Documents care activities accurately and timely, and participates in shift reports and clinical learning experiences.

Experience

• Experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Must be listed in good standing on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry as a CNA, with no findings of abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation of property/funds.

Education
High School diploma or GED preferred.

Essential Functions

• Assist with direct patient/resident care, including grooming, ambulation, toileting, and transfers.
• Prepare and assist with meals, monitor intake and output, and document accordingly.
• Measure vital signs and report findings.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and infection control protocols.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient/resident activities.

The pay range for this position is $17.65-$27.55 per hour.
