Job summary

The Pavilion at Queens in Flushing, NY is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our 302-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. You will respond to call bells, assist with grooming, feeding, and mobility, and provide daily resident care under supervision.

We welcome new graduates with NYS CNA certification. Benefits include health coverage and a supportive schedule, with weekends or alternate weekends 7am–3pm.

Qualifications

• Currently certified by the New York State Department of Health (new grads encouraged to apply).
• Must be able to lift residents (minimum 50 pounds) and turn and position numerous times throughout the day.
• Must have the ability to transfer a resident from sitting to standing position and vice versa.
• Must have the ability to climb stairs, bend, maneuver equipment and push small carts.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will be responsible for performing a variety of care practices including:

• Responding to call bells to assist residents
• Helping residents with grooming and hygiene
• Assistance with food trays and feeding
• Assists with movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
