Join to apply for the Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA role at Monrovia Gardens Healthcare Center.

We are currently hiring full-time CNAs for all shifts. Urgently hiring for ALL shifts.

Position Summary

The purpose of the CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant position is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with their assessment plan, complying with federal, state, and local standards and regulations, as directed by supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Answering call lights.
2. Providing nursing care with privacy.
3. Making residents comfortable (e.g., assisting with bed, providing water).
4. Assisting in feeding residents, including cutting food and spoon feeding if needed.
5. Helping residents with grooming, showers, or sponge baths.
6. Properly lifting and transferring residents between wheelchair, bed, and other positions.
7. Helping residents sit, stand, and walk.
8. Transporting residents to dining areas and activities, then returning them to their rooms.
9. Reporting changes in residents' conditions promptly to the Nurse Supervisor.
10. Maintaining confidentiality of residents' files and data per HIPAA standards.
11. Adhering to all facility policies and procedures, including confidentiality protocols.
12. Following Infection Control policies.
13. Reporting occupational exposures immediately.
14. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Completion of CNA training from an accredited school.
• Valid CNA certification number.
• CPR certification.
• Some experience is helpful; training will be provided.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data.
• Physical ability to move intermittently throughout the day, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with heavier lifts with help.
• Ability to read fine print on medical labels and notes.
