Job summary

Milwaukee Health and Rehab is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide routine daily nursing care according to each resident's care plan. You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, bathing, grooming, dining, dressing and toileting, while following infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include documenting care, reporting changes to nurses promptly, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have current and active nursing aide certification in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans and supervisor instructions.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and toileting.
• Support infection control practices and maintain hygiene and safety.
• Assist with feeding, nutrition, and elimination needs.
• Document resident information accurately in charts and flow sheets.
• Communicate changes to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Be a team player across all facility disciplines.

The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Hiring for 1st shift 6:30am- 2:30pm & 3rd shift 10:30pm-6:30am

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Duties

• Resident centered care oriented including assistance with activities of daily living such as:
• Positioning, Moving, and Restorative Care.
• Mobility, Toileting, and Bathing.
• Grooming: Oral, Shaving and Nail Care.
• Dining Assistance.
• Dressing and Undressing.
• Infection control and prevention.
• Nutrition and Elimination.
• Comfort care and End of Life Care.
• Answer call lights timely and promptly.
• Report all changes in the resident's condition to your assigned nurse as soon as possible.
• Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift when they occur.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Be a team player working in coordination with all disciplines in the facility.
