Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. You will provide direct resident care, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support licensed staff in creating individualized care plans.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of state-approved CNA training with competency exam completed within 120 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and meal intake/output.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond to call lights and resident needs; report observations to licensed staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation per facility procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and contribute to care planning and assessments.

The Certified Nursing Assistant cares for residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures a safe and comfortable environment, and supports licensed nursing staff in delivering individualized care in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct resident care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, percentage of meal consumed intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and position using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution guidelines at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Provides postmortem care
• Contributes to the residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the plan of care.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Graduate/GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Computer skills are required.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.
