Ciena Healthcare in Westland, MI is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our nursing team. You will provide direct resident care under supervision, assist with ADLs, and help maintain a safe, comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of approved program with state competency exam within 120 days.
• Computer skills required.
• Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond promptly to call lights and report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provide postmortem care.
• Contribute to residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the plan of care.

The Certified Nursing Assistant cares for residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse. Education and/or Experience

• High School Graduate/GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within120 daysof employment; nameentered intostate nurse aide registry.

Minimum Qualifications
