Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of East Louisville is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will assist with ADLs, transfers, and vital signs while maintaining a compassionate environment in a 128-bed facility.

Shifts are 6:30 AM–2:30 PM with rotating weekends. We offer a strong benefits package including health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and more to support your well-being and growth.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff guidance.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living per plan of care.
• Transfer and ambulate residents with appropriate devices.
• Record vitals, intake/output, weights, and food consumption.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Answer call lights promptly and assist residents.
• Participate in staff orientation and training as requested.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
