Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Danville, KY is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant for the Day shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). You will provide direct resident care under licensed nursing staff and help create a compassionate environment in line with facility policies.

Requires an active state CNA certification, strong communication skills, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach. The benefits package supports health, wealth, and well-being for our team members.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident's plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident room regularly.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Turn and position residents as necessary.
• Respect resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff as requested.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident's plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
