Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Position Description

A nursing assistant responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, under the supervision of Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator, to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a certified nursing assistant.
• At least 6 months of experience as a CNA or clinical experience during certification training.
• Sincere desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, or hostile individuals.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform duties according to facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before providing care or serving food.
• Report missing ID bands immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled, and within residents' reach.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisory staff.
