Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Mayfair Manor facility. You will provide direct resident care under licensed nursing supervision, focusing on compassionate support and adherence to care plans.

Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, mobility assistance, and collaboration with the nursing team. A valid CNA certification and strong communication skills are essential for success in our mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state where facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently with integrity when working with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope of practice.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption.
• Routinely turn and position residents as needed.
• Support resident rights and choices within care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards within assigned areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist residents.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference
