Bethesda Health Group is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide essential patient care and support. The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, documenting care, and maintaining a safe environment. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication skills and a commitment to patient well-being.
Provides patient care-related support including services related to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by the Charge Nurse, following established departmental guidelines. Documents appropriately into patient records based on skill level, adhering to standards and guidelines. Upon admission, completes personal belongings sheet, records height, weight, and vital signs, orients new residents to the facility and unit, ensures residents receive an ID band, and provides a labeled admission kit. Responds promptly to call lights and resident needs. Completes rounds as assigned and throughout the shift. Turns and repositions residents every 2 hours; seated residents every hour. Takes vital signs and weights accurately, reports to the Charge Nurse promptly. Ensures proper application of slings, splints, braces, and other devices as per orders. Measures intake and output accurately, relays information at shift change. Performs procedures like Sitz baths, moist packs, isolation techniques as instructed. Maintains supplies and equipment, alerts staff of needs. Enters charge items as per protocol. Completes required continuing education and in-services, accepts reassignments, and updates the Charge Nurse. Maintains effective relationships with team members, handles confidential information discreetly. Gives shift report and participates in rounds. May be assigned additional duties.
